The Ruby:  Unearthing the Treasure in Your Chest 

We have a treasure within us. We were born with it.  Yet, much of the time it seems like we have forgotten our true inheritance.  We walk around as if we are poor while closer to us than our breath is a hidden treasure referred to by the Sufi’s as the Ruby.

Reclaiming this jewel will cost us a lot. Some would say, everything. “Everything” has everything to do with leaving behind the limited self we have constructed and that, often enough, now functions as our jailer.  “The pick and shovel work” is the way Rumi refers to our willingness to enter our depths and be set free, through effort, patience, and grace bestowed.  Daunting as this is, take heart!  This is the human journey – the great, alchemical transmutation of stone to ruby alive within us. 

Through meditation, prayer, and silence, structured and spontaneous moments of dialogue and inquiry, poetry and story, we’ll learn to cultivate the heart and enter its hidden chambers. Tenderly, we’ll bear witness to ourselves and one another as we gently yet steadfastly unearth what hinders and what opens us to knowing and embodying our Ruby nature. Tender, fiercely independent, endlessly capable of acting wisely in the world out of love in service to all, this is the jewel-heart of our humanity. 

During this course translation into Danish language will be provided when needed.
