Inhabiting the Temple: A 7-Day Silent Retreat to Awaken, and Open the Heart

Our motivation to deepen our meditation practice, relieve suffering, and offer ourselves to the world in ways that increase human flourishing and wellbeing, means that we have before us a great challenge: the embodiment of these intentions. It is the most vital work we human beings can undertake. Such dedication is built upon our willingness to be opened and transformed through constant intimacy with the conditions of everyday life while remaining attuned to the infinite.

In the company of heartfelt companions, we’ll join together in a daily schedule of meditation and contemplation, yoga and movement, dharma talks, individual practice meetings, inspiring music and poetry and shared meals. Embedded in silence and infused with the spirit of warmth and befriending, this retreat is an invitation to abide more fully in the present moment, inhabit the temple of the body, become intimate with the heart, and take refuge in the abiding consciousness that is none other than the treasure hidden within you.

This retreat is open to everyone with prior meditation experience. Attendance for the entire retreat is a prerequisite for participation. The retreat is approved as part of the MBSR professional teacher training path at the Danish Center for Mindfulness, Aarhus University.

Due to the intensity of the daily schedule, we ask all participants to book accommodation in Nørre Snede or close to Nørre Snede.
